Boys Cross Country 1st, girls 2nd at WCAL Championship

The boys cross country team took first place at the WCAL county championship @ Wayne College. Justin McKeal was county MVP and Coach DeRodes was coach of the year. The girls team finished with a strong 2nd finish just behind Dalton. Both teams will be gearing up for Districts next week.

8th grade volleyball “Perfection”

The 8th grade volleyball team won the 8th grade WCAL volleyball championship tournament in Chippewa, (10/14/17) to cap off a perfect two year run that started in 7th grade. Football “Senior Night”

The senior football team was recognized before the game and had there senior walk after the game against Dalton on 10/13/17. Shane Christman, Cole Smith, Ethan Snyder, Trent Kauffman, Riley Smucker (not pictured) Trenton Mathew, Jared Wyatt, Garrett Fetzer, Tommy Stewart and Trent Shane.

The senior cheerleaders were recognized before the game against Dalton on 10/13/17. Zayla Weideman, Maddie Lance, Sierra Carraway, Mae Miller, Nikki Shaffer & Alyssa Huffman.

Golf Team District Bound!

The  Smithies golf team placed second in Wednesday’s Div. III Sectional golf tournament held at Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley. The Smithies scored a (323) as a team just behind 1st place, sectional champion Gilmour Academy (318) coming in third-place was Independence.
